Hi guys, so I had a leak in my exhaust manifold right around the oxygen sensor which was causing me to idle at around 2000 rpms. I seem to have got that repaired, there still might be a little leak, but it's idling at about 800 now so it's much better. Ever since I got the car though, it's been running cold. The the temp gauge is about 1/4 the way up when I drive it on the road. If I let it just sit and idle in my garage, it will warm up to about 2/3 on the gauge. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I've replaced the thermostat twice, suspecting that was the issue, but it didn't help.
The low oil pressure light is also coming on at idle. There's also the slightest bit of knocking. Is it time to replace my bearings?

Any codes on the ECU?
I would suspect you need to replace your bearings, and I'd recommend checking your oil pump internals out too.
And what I've said to many new members at this community; get a cheap-o-gauge for oil pressure, as the warning light comes on at something silly like 0,3 bar... :S

No, it's not showing any codes. I'll get a gauge for it as soon as I can.
If I need to do the bearings and oil pump, I might as well rebuild the whole engine. I was thinking about doing it anyway. Are there any good engine rebuild posts on here someone could link me to? Tried a search, but didn't find much.

The search-function isn't working well, so you'd be best of by using Google and specifying this site in this manner: (keywords you'd like to use) site:subarujusty.proboards.com Do NOT enter spaces in the url or the site: command. Here's my rebuild-thread, by the way. subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/4939/engine-rebuild?page=1

I would try an oil pump first, you can always reuse the "new" pump if you decide to go further. My car rarely goes above 1/4 on the temp gauge, do you have good heat in the cab? If you're still concerned I would check to make sure the rad fan isn't staying on or something, otherwise don't worry about it.
