Hi, guys, i just bought my 92 justy GL but i have yet to pick it up. So i found 17" rims with low profile rubber for sale but have no way of testing to see if they would fit on my justy. I don't want to waste $600.00 So if anybody could help, that would be apreciated.

No, if you make them fit, you won't have a Justy anymore. Get a goddamn WRX!!

it would take a lot of modifications to make 17's fit on a Justy. Also Justy's don't exactly have power to spare to turn 17's.

Whoah.....some apologies are in order!
I really did write an apology VERY quickly after I posted this, why it did not appear is beyond me. Sooo... Wow, no I am NOT brutal like that with people, I have been involved in many quarrels, but I have not ever snapped at ANY person like this before. There really should be no excuses, but...my wife keeping my son from me was really bothering me that day, and you did not need to receive flack for such incidents. Therefore...I am very sorry for the way I acted, I should have thought about my answer, or not even written a response. I wish I could buy you a beer, but it seems I can't, so....again, my sincere apologies.
I SHOULD have said something along the lines of "no, they won't without a lot of hellacious mods, but let's see it anyways". I just could swear I said "sorry" with a few words about Synthetik's power comment. Whatever I said, or am saying, should be in contrast with my original response.
If it helps, banana, I got a lot of shit for wanting to put on a small turbo.......to simply help me go up hills better. But you know....

Well imaginarius, thanks for the apology, but now that i have recieved my Justy, i realize just how stupid my question was. And from your other posts you seem to be a good guy. I also am sorry for what i said about you. i really had no right.
But im still looking for some sweet rims, 13's or 14's though. so ya, all is good and WOW! your wife is keeping your son from you, that is ludacris!!! I would be freaking angry too. well Thanks, for your advic though, and go do something fun with your kid.... Maybe some justy 4x4 action?!?!

JustyKid, You had every right. It is an ongoing battle, I should know better to put that kinda stuff aside for the forum, you know? But farcle it, back into the Justy World....
Well, I don't have a 4x4 version, I have the 2WD. But no, that does not stop me...most days. I will get one, someday. How about yours, you should put up some pics! Personally, as far as rims go, I do like the intended stock rim style of the GL's. But soon I hope, I want them sandblasted and coated black, for the white and black trim Justy they belong to. But as long as they aren't 3-spoke mags, it's fair game. Beer!

I only have a second, but make sure those will fit. Justy's do have a weird bolt pattern, search it up here. But, if those fit, then farcle it. I would love to see a Justy have those. Why not, someone has to do it.

I think those wheels would look sick on a red Justy, do it!
The bolt pattern on Justy's is not weird it's just 4X100 countless other cars use this size.
The problem with a lot of other wheels is the center hub size on the Justy is bigger than a lot of other cars. So you need to make sure the hub size is at least as big as the Justy's or be prepared to grind/machine the hole bigger.

(You didn't hear this from me) Either grind the wheel or just simply grind the notches off the hub off the car. Much less material to take off.

What devices are used to grind the wheel?

What devices are used to grind the wheel? FAAARRR better to take the hubs off and turn the notches down in a lathe, or get it done for you. Shouldn't take more than an hour, hour and a half tops.

Ok innocent question time, why is it better to turn the hubs down instead of opening the center hole to 56mm? Bigger lathe, yes, but much less work. Or is it about the flex & integrity of the hub area of the wheel? TNX <<<)))
