It's way more cost effective for me buy the entire engine gasket kit than the parts individually, but... I can only find the kits for the 2wd carbureted Justy. Mine is a 4wd MPFI. Is the only difference between the kits the carburetor mount vs. the throttle body mount?

Not sure, but if you check with your Subie dealer they are supposed to be able to tell you from the service manual and if it is different they should be able to order the parts in a couple of days without too much hassle or extra cost. Try them before you start guessing.

It's just a generic gasket kit for Carbed motors and EFI motors
They both have all the fuel injection gaskets, and o-rings. Along with all the carb gaskets and stuff

DoItSidewayz, be careful of the advice because as we've seen, different markets carry different stuff as with the cars. I checked with my local Subaru dealer here and they carry 4 different kits. They said the 2wd and 4wd are standard but the engine size and carb vs fuel injected make a difference. We have 1200's and 1000's here hence the four.

I'm particularly asking about the generic kits that are advertised online at different sites for around $50, such as at allsubparts.com.

I did end up buying the gasket kit from allsubparts.com advertised for the carbureted Justy. I was doing a cyl head replacement and the only thing different was the intake manifold gasket. It also didn't come with the throttle body gasket or plenum to manifold gaskets, obviously.
