if I grab the left front driveshaft and pull the driveshaft it moves like 5 centimeters thats about 2 inches i think, at first i thought that it was a worn joint but the play comes from the gear box. now i wonder if it is something in the gearbox that needs change or if its enough to replace the driveshaft. its hard to know without a manual.
btw is there a good wsm(work shop manual) that can be downloded for this car in pdf format or something, ive serched the internet upside down i think.

Welcome to the site! there is a roll pin thet fits through the driveshaft (female end) and the output splines on the gear box (male end), my guess is that this pin is missing. You will probably have to dig your way through years worth of dirt and muck to find the pin but tust me its there try www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm they arent bad for quick guides.

when you say the driveshaft moves, do you mean the entire shaft including the green bit which slots onto the output shaft slides back and forth?

Green bit? but the shaft does not not slide, it moves sideways back and fourth not in and out. and the play comes from the gearbox, i can take a picture tomorrow.
after the joint there is a little bit left of the shaft thats going in to the gearbox this is the piece thats has a lot of play in every derection exept in and out of the gear box.

The play is in here, the small shaft thats comes out of there moves in all derections wich means that the whole shaft has a big play, (i know my rubber on my joint is loose)

Dont mind my previous reply, i janked it up and had some proper lighting too se thats its the splines thats worn out, i think atleast, the play comes from the splines where that pin u were talking about are.
now to a question is it the "shaft/joint" splines or the gear box splines thats worn out or can it be both?
expensive to fix?
