fujugnat, Awesome! The car is looking good! is that new paint? Glad you decided to run the car!... Who/what was in your class (NHS) that day?? Did you consistently beat your own times each run? (Good goal). The 3 things you can really cut your time down While maintaining stock classing are: Shocks - (I know they are a pain in the wallet though ) Tires - are you 12 or 13 inch wheels? The vintage school MINI boards have good deals come up on used performance 12s (nutty old Hoosiers, etc). Or eBay for 'used for 3 seasons' auto-x tires... Technique - watch/talk to the FTD (fastest time of day guys)... join them on a 'dollar/fun run' watching their hands and feet...follow the basics: brake/accelerate in straights, memorize the course, smooth but purposeful steering, braking, throttle, look farther ahead to plan the next turn... Although the main goal (weather allowing) is to run some sanctioned Ice Racing and a couple 'slip and slide' winter-x/rally-x also hoping to run the JUSTY in a few dry auto-x events for hoots in the Tri-State area... Trade you event calendars.... Thanks for sharing; Represent,

89, Thanks for the input. Below are the results from both H Stock & Novice. I drove WAY over my head my first few runs. Then I had one of the novice instructors drive my car w/ me in it (36.200) . Then I drove it w/ another instructor riding w/ me & did much better. Like I said, "MORE SEAT TIME". The car does need new struts & shocks but for the time being I'm gonna use some of the aftermarket spring stiffeners. The car is getting a rebuilt (hi-po/150+ hp) motor, trans rebuild, 13x7.5 custom stock wheels w/ 13" Hoosiers, over the winter. So before I replace the struts I'd like to weigh all my options. I'd like to find some type of adjustable suspension setup. I posted on the rally forum (new rally build thread) concerning this question. By the way 12" Yokahamas & original paint!!!

Ray, ;D ;D ;D ;D.....I am so glad you raced the little Gen 1!! I loved the pics.. Now I know what the new wallpaper will be on my office computer!! I have only one request.. Next time you race the little Justy, Ask some of the scantily clad track "Hotties" to pose next to it. Let them think its the cover shot for the latest issue of "Justy Racer" magazine. Hey, It worked for my some of my students at the NOPI nats in Atlanta! Seriously Ray, Love the action shots of your car!.. Give me a call if ya still need a solid front sway bar..Hopefully my cell won't crap out again! Good Luck, Jim
