Hey, anyone ever see the Genuine Subaru Cassette deck in a 1989 Justy? Saw one in the junkyard the other day. It mounts below the dash above the transmission hump. It's a big box, has a cassette player and plugs into the red-wired auxiliary plug on the stock stereo. Kinda cool, totally worthless to me. I don't own any CDs anymore, certainly no cassettes.
Still, cool SUBY stuff.

I know where an 88 GL is sitting in a salvage yard that has what looks like either a dealer or factory installed cassette player in it. This player was mounted in conjuction with an additional storage box on the center hump in front of the stickshift but aligned with the dash. Could`nt see getting it for mine since I ditched the stock radio for a modern am/fm/cd player...RONAN

I'm using the cassette playing in my Impreza still. It is however hooked up to my iPod via one of those adapter thingys.

choke actuator on left. This picture was taken when I was replacing my old dashboard. The white colored 'dog bone' in the combination switch is something I made of hard pvc sheet, Don't know what it is called, used for making custom electric switch boards in homes. My old one was broken causing the switch not to return to normal position.

Saqib, where are you based, Turkey? Think Europe was the same as the UK, as we probably don't have all the emissions gumf the US has to deal with. Is there any part you need? I can take better photos tonight. Also, where did you get the centre console? I don't have one in mine? It also looks like you have a manual choke (not auto chock dashpots).

stationI'm from Pakistan and the Justy was imported as 1.0L under the badge name "J10" only in 1984, 1986 and 1990. No 1.2L at all. Also all these were with manual choke. So this one has the old EF10 The center console was a local made no brand cheapo for a suzuki alto, but I did a bit of modification to fit it in. Also painted it to match the dash. It serves the purpose. Have installed Auxiliary IN for the audio Yes, detailed pictures are always welcomed Maybe you can start a new thread if you wish.
