Hey yall! Hope everyone had a great summer.
Been driving my Justy with a new Weber carb installed for a few months now and I decided its probably time to fix up the installation a bit but I'm confused on how my vacuum lines should all be connected. The information I'm finding is really leaving me mostly confused.
Figured since I got some free time coming up I would post some pictures of what I have going on under the hood and see if any of you guys with Weber experience could give me some pointers. Don't be too hard on me! I'm a beginner here!
Here is the Justy. As you can see the whole canister Is currently doing nothing, as are the solenoids above it. Not sure what those are supposed to connect to with the Weber install.
This Photo shows the 3 gas lines. The main line is hooked up to the carb gas intake. The return is plugged, and the vent is open.
the solenoid on the left is completely disconnected. The one on the right goes to the left side of the carb and then to the other diaphragm on screen.
Here is the back of the carb. The one port I can see is plugged.
The left side of the carb from the front. The upper vacuum line goes to that solenoid mentioned earlier. The lower line goes to the 4wd. the other vacuum line is plugged and that squiggly tube is also plugged.
Anyways that's all the pictures I got. As you guys can tell I'm super new to working on older cars and would love some help with this car! I wanna know it lots better than i do right now!
Right now the car is running really well, The issues that I'm having is that its dieseling when I shut the engine down. Sometimes it keeps turning over for about 5 seconds. Also the mpg pretty poor at about 25mpg.
Well Id love to discuss with any of you fellas. Cheers!
