Hello everyone, my 88 just got running again with a new battery and connections. The problem is it leaks oil like mad. I've narrowed it down to a leaky distributer o ring and the fact that a bolt is broken on the top right of the valve cover. The block is black from the oil so I'm not sure if it's leaking else where. The reason I think I might have a blown head gasket is that when I check the oil its about 2 times the height of full. It seems to be a really light coating though. I haven't run the car in about 3 months. I just poured in a lot of fresh oil into it because so much was gone from the leaking. I can't tell if the color that it left on the towel was fresh oil or mixed with coolant. Please help. I can upload pics of the block if you need. I have attached pics of the dip stick and the towel.

Ok I can't upload the pics because it says "This forum has exceeded its attachment space limit. Your file cannot be uploaded." so I changed my avatar to be the pic of the oil on the paper towel. Thanks again!

Hard to say from that picture. If coolant is mixing with the oil you can tell by the water level dropping with no external leaks, the oil level will be higher and look milky, you may even notice a nasty milky film on the bottom of the oil cap and oil in the coolant.
