I've got two manual 4x4 transmissions, both from a 89 justy. I just noticed the dipstick on my spare tranny is way shorter than the one I'm using now. Even if I screw it down it doesn't register. I've had the rear wheels lock up once already from lack of fluid, and it's scary as hell. I know there was a recall about how to check the fluid, but I didn't know there were different length dipsticks. Does anyone have any info or advice? I'm thinking I'll use the shorter one because if there's too much fluid it will just blow out the breather tube, right?
