Hey everyone!
Just wanted to give everyone an update. I finally was able to find someone to go get the Justy! They brought it this evening. As I mentioned in another thread, the previous owner said the shifter assembly is broke. He actually bought the shifter assembly, but was never able to put it in. Is it pretty easy to put in? Can someone please guide me as to how to put it in?
Thanks! Tommy

I don't know what exactly is broken and need to be replaced, but I think it is nothing hard...

It's the shifter bracket assembly underneath the car.

That should not be big problem. Most of bolts and nuts should be 12mm or 14mm.

I don't figure it's hard, but I've never done anything like this before, so I was wondering if someone had prior experience putting in a shifter bracket assembly? I don't even know where to begin short of getting the car up on jacks.
Thanks! Tommy

Once you get under there to look, it will become very self evident. It will be a "relatively" easy job (relative to changing wheel bearings or pulling the motor ) It will come out a a complete unit with two long arms going forward, and the "shift lever" One of those arms is what keeps it relative to the gear box, it doesn't move, the other is the shift rod that moves back and forth and radially. Going from memory... been a while Remove the rubber boot hold down ring inside the car. Unbolt the whole contraption at the gearbox end; I think 2 bolts hold the stationary rod to the box, and then the bolt that hods the shift rod to the gear selector at the gear box. Now go to the back, and you will see 2 bolts holding the rear of the mechanism in place, buzz buzz, out they come and it falls in your face! Installation is opposite of removal! Edit... Most folks will strongly suggest getting new bushings if your new shifter doesn't have them. At least the one at the front where the shift rod connects to the gear selector on the box. This is the one that gives the mushy, "where the h$ll is 3rd" feeling.

When my shifter dropped it was the mounting tabs on the chassis that broke.
Albeit that may or may not have happened while driving aggressively.
