hey folk's new to the forum, and to Subaru's. I've been driving a passat 4motion for a while and although its great, its also far too big. I've seen several of these Justy's available online for reasonable money for the age/mileage etc. I'm looking at the 1.3 AWD models. Anything you can tell me about these? common faults, recalls, things to watch for when buying. Any and all contributions welcome

Welcome!! We're all old-schoolers here, most of our Justys are between the 87-94 years; but we'll help when we can! Well...they can...people just yell at me here But very cool on the "small car" change-up; if I wanted to drive a tank I would have joined the army, but no, I want to drive go-karts instead lol.

Any and all contributions welcome Seems you're in Yurop and talking about the Suzaru Justy AWD, might be better off asking this on a forum like SS-GTI or a Suzuki Swift related forum, as the SJ AWD is based on the Cultus 4WD. To answer your questions tho: Rust. fuarrrking EVERYWHERE. They won't rust as hard as a Subaru made Justy, but if they do, be prepared for rusted chassis beams. Look for signs of offroading too, the SJ isn't a offroader like the Jimmy or Vitara. Engines are very reliable, G13BA 1.3 8V or G13BB 1.3 16V SOHC, just adjust your valve clearances once in a while and use good oil, no oil pump issues here whatsoever. Always, ALWAYS use 4 of the same tires with the same profile depth, if you don't: VC heats up to the point it breaks and you have no AWD or AWD like the Justy 4WD, which causes MAJOR drivetrain damage if you go on dry roads. The Justy AWD gearbox is stronger than other Suzuki Swift 'boxes tho, especially the SSGTI box.
