Anyone have photos of a second generation with the side trim removed?
I'm thinking about pulling it off, but wanted to see how it would look first.

There are no holes from mounting tabs? I removed the faux wheel flares from the rear to roll the fenders and hate the holes left behind (and the rust housing under the plastic!)

Took it all off, left behind rubber adhesive. I used my heat gun on the small section in front of front door and it took a small bit of paint off. I'll probably have more luck freezing it off. I intend to paint the whole car Ceramic White (on the way to my 1991 Legacy RS world rally livery)... but alas, I still don't have a garage to paint in Along the same line, I need to grease the hatch handle and am considering trimming off the wings of the Black trim plate going from the floor bolts to two... I think it will look closer to the 1970s Leone wagon look. Opinions? I'd also love to try that cool chroming process thing I'm seeing on YouTube, but that might be too ambitious. Anyone have pictures of body mods on the hatch/rear?

It wouldn't be as simple as trimming the wings off the plastic trim piece. There are holes in the hatch to secure it and I'm 99% sure there's a little step in the sheet metal underneath it. I modified my hatch a little, but all I really did was shave the lock cylinder.
