Recently did a weber carb swap on my 1988. The hose in question was previously routed to the factory air filter. Seems to be sucking in, and making an interesting noise. Do I put a filter on it or plug it? Here's the video: youtu.be/_E_y_SHZr0Q

In the future you can remove the whole metal tube back to the exhaust. That's the quarter block-off trick I was talking about.
