Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum and picked up my 1997 Subaru Justy GX AWD a couple hours ago. I am from the South East UK if anyone else is? This is taking place of my Gen 7 Celica I have just sold. I also have a 502bhp 350z Twin Turbo which I want to put aside for a bit and put all hands into the new Justy project. The one thing that sold this project to me is the AWD system which I still want to keep as I am humming and haring about a boxer turbo transplant. If not I am thinking 20B Rotary, SR20DET or Mx-5 conversions and then going RWD. Has anybody done any engine swaps? Any advice on power outputs and weak points? I also intend on putting a lot of the Suzuki Swift GTI kit on it such as bumpers, skirts, bucket seats etc to get it sporty looking. Look forward to hearing some feedback

Hi, welcome to the forum. Here we specialize in the Subaru made Justy's, which were made up until 94/95. After that they were made by Suzuki. You will be better off joining a Suzuki forum for really specific and good information about drivetrain and such.
As far as the drivetrain swap, there have been a few successful WRX swaps done in the Subaru made Justy's, but it is a lot of work, time, money etc as would be expected. With enough motivation you can get anything done.
The Subaru made Justy's do not have any transplantable engine's, only the 1.0l EF10 and 1.2l EF12 will work with the transmission.
Tho we cannot help much here, you are welcome to hang around and keep us posted on your project!
Terry
