Lifting a justy is not as easy as adding spacers to the struts, you'll need a way to realign the camber after you lift it. So that would mean adjustable control arms if you want to do it properly. Also if you go too far your axles will rub unless you put spacers between the subframes and the body. However if you do that it would essentially be just a body lift, all your running gear would still be at stock ride height. It's been done up to 5.5 inches as far as I can tell, it just doesn't seem worth it. Justy's are to narrow and tippy to lift. I almost rolled mine on dirt with low profile summer tires. It's your car, do what makes you happy. I'm just trying to give you an idea of what you're getting into Here's an example and a thread with some decent info. www.cardomain.com/ride/2229044/1987-subaru-justy/subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/2189/lift-justy-Dave

I'll deal with alignment issues when the time comes. I plan on getting some wheel spacers also, along with new tires after the lift, hopefully this will help with any rolling issues. How far should I space my wheels? as far as possible? I've seen spacers as far as 2" for my wheels, I would have to space at lest 1" to get the tires i want under her ( 185-70r14 ).
So, ive already lifted her ass 2" by spacing her diff and controller arms, ect. I got her front fenders cut also, just so i could get her current tires under her ( 175-65r14 )i also have 1/2" wheel spacers currently.
So I guess my plan is to space her struts about 2-3" ( which sounds like a safe amount to raise ) get bigger wheel spacers ( how big should I go? ) and I think i should be able to get my 185-70's under her

What are you trying to accomplish with the wheel spacers? Are you just trying to get the tires to fit?
The size you need will depend on the offset of your wheels and how wide the wheels and tires are. Just remember the wider you go the more stress you'll put on the already fragile wheel bearings.

well, i know i'll need at least 1" spacers just to get my wheels to fit, but should I go with bigger spacers to give me a wider wheel base?

Going wider would help make it less tippy, but like I said I'd be worried about killing wheel bearings. That being said, I plan to add spacers as soon as I get around to making fender flares.
What do you plan on doing with the car?

It's my adventure car... a lot of snow driving, a lot of back woods camping. I just love the idea of a 40 mpg car that can go anywhere. I'm just rying to get as much clearness as i can.

Cool, make sure to post pics of the build. I would also suggest investing in some decent skid plates.
Good luck, have fun -Dave
