My flywheel had a pressure mark on it from being installed. So I just put it back in the same spot.

So I am to the point now where I need to put the flywheel cover back on. The half moon shaped peice. What is the best way to get this to fit and stay secured, any pictures would be great. Also any body with info on getting the alternator all secored would be helpfull. I have the L shaped bracket that attaches to the top of the alternator and block, but where the alternator attaches to the front cover it has a huge gap.

I just pulled my engine and tranny tonight, so I can post some pics of the alternator set-up in-situ tommorrow. I haven't separated the engine from the tranny, so I have no insight on the flywheel cover yet...maybe tommorrow.

Here are two pics of the flywheel cover still attached. Two little bolts hold it on to the flanges on the oil pan. Let me know if you can't make them out. The blackness of the tar-ball that is may engine makes it hard to see the little bits.

Hey Coal, I am almost sure that you mentioned somewhere in the thread where didi you det the parts from, but I couldn't find it. That's why I'll ask you to tel me where did you get the bearings and pistonrings from. I hawe an EF12 engin that I want to rebuild and replace my EF10 but it looks like I can't find there parts here. Thank you in advance.

The parts I sourced came from many different places. Most of them were supplied from the machine shop, they asked me what I needed, I told them enough to rebuild the engine, so they had the bearings, piston rings, seal kit and a few other odds and ends. Then rock auto is another good place to go to, I picked up my clutch at that spot. It was a clearance item and the flexplate was the wrong one, everything else fit fine. I did not return it because it was only about twenty or thirty dollars. I did not feel it was worth the hassle, especially when my old flex plate should work just fine. Then I have picked up some other small items from the local napa and schucks and autozone. I think the best starting point will be the machine shop. My shop did not seem to mark them up too much.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that here in Bulgaria Justy is prety rare car and. There are parts available but for an engine rebuild it's a bit harder to finds parts. That's why I wanted to know where I can order online if here at the shop they say that there are no parts. Thanks once again, cheers!

Hey dtodorov, you should look in google for japanparts (www.japanparts.it). For the clutch try an "aisin" supplier, or go to their internet page and find a suplier or send an e-mail asking for a supplier in your country. It worked for me. Cheers.

Durbas, I will check that. BTW I have a new clutch disk but I'm looking for bearings, piston rings and gaskets.

Hi Coal, I am collecting parts to work on my car. Is a clutch alignment tool necessary, when replacing the clutch? Did you use it? Thanks
