Hi I apologise in advance you must have been asked this question many times before. I own a 92 ecvt with only 20000mls from new, and occasionally first thing in the morning it seems reluctant to set off, once it goes it is fine for the rest of the day.The clutch temp light flashes I think three times then goes off. Any ideas what it could be? thanks Teresa.

The clutch temp light indicates a possible problem with the clutch brushes. The brushes are located in the bell housing area on top of the transmission. The starter needs to be removed (two bolts) to gain access to the brush holder assembly. If engine oil is leaking from the distributor it can find its way down to the brushes and cause intermittent problems such as what you're describing.

Thanks for the reply i'll check to see if that is the problem,I was hoping it was an "easy" fix, i've spoke to a couple of local transmission companies and they have never even heard of an ecvt transmission so there is not much hope of them being able to fix it !!!!, once again thanks for the advice , regards Teresa.
