hello i am new here i have just bought a 1992 justy 4wd auto when i bought it the guy said the brushes were low and he showed me lol i can't find them now can anyone help me locate them I am also new to mechanicing so please tell me like i am in kindergarden. also i am finding it difficult to find brushes up here in canada British Columbia even the subaru dealership is at a lost.
Can anyone help

i got the 2nd to last set in North America, so they may not be available any more. Someplace on this site is how to rebuild the brush assembly yourself. It is not that hard. Someone will point you that way.

I used FA-161 Nippondenso brushes, they are the same dimensions as what come in the ECVT transmission. Look for a local altenator repair shop they should carry these or be able to get them ordered for you. there is another thread on how to replace the brushes here subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ecvt&action=display&thread=4534. The fix isn't that hard and will save you about 150$ maybe more considering labor from a dealership. I paid $2.95 or so for each brush bought 4 just to be safe.
