I need to rebuild the engine on my 1990 Justy and wondered if anyone has an internet source for rebuild kits/pistons/rings etc. I can't seem to find much with the usual search engines.
Cheers! John

Seems like I am in about the same boat.My 88 currently has 205,000 on it and I know it isn't going to last forever.I would like to rebuild it unless I can find a very low mileage one.Has anyone here actually rebuilt one?? Thanks..

you can get gasket kits and bearings at most autoparts shop...
but for the maine parts like piston, rod, pump and stuff you can only get them from the dealer....well so far i havent found them in autoparts.
usualy any engine shop can rebuilt any engine...and get you all the parts that you need at the same time...but it mite be cheaper to get the subaru part for them...if you have discount at the dealer.
if your cylinder and cranks dont need to be repaired...its a pretty easy engine to rebuilt. just need to have the rigth torque and stuff like that.
for my new engine i ad the engine shop to check the tolerence and clean everything ...i hade to have some work done...like polishing the crank... i got some new bearing, gasket and rings and i will do the rebuilt my self.
