Anyone around here from the east coast? I am from NC, and I see a lot of west and central people on here. You guys have it easy! I cannot find any justy's near me for a decent price. Here is the only one I have found: charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1449775274.htmlAnd he wants $2500! Way too much in my opinion. I come from a mazda background (5 out of 11 cars I have had were/are Mazda's), more specifically RX7's. I can pick up shells for a carton of cigarettes and driving cars for $500... Anyways, I have wanted some use out of these spare 12a's I have in the garage. Gor a rebuild with a streetport I have done and 2 stock ports that have about 100k on them. I have noticed the Justy's engine are transverse mounted unlike the RWD RX7 is. Does anyone have a picture of a justy engine bay that has no engine? Also, what does the bellhousing look like? A few pictures of my car: Hope to learn more from you guys!

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

Thanks Does anyone have a picture of a Justy with no engine? And does the transmission run as FWD with a transfer box? The engine bay is very small and shorter than it is wide. The Justy has no transfer case. It is basically a front-wheel-drive car or front-wheel-drive car with selectable four-wheel-drive built into an otherwise front-wheel-drive car transmission..

rotary would be cool but, a justy motor fits a justy. Unless!!! you are going to cut, fab, weld and basically re-engineer how the drivetrain fits. Am I wrong? anyone...? -T

Am I the only one who actually read it?? He says "gets between 35 and 55 mpg but average round 42 or 43 with my driving. once got 58 mpg driving round town but only once. i took it to the 1/8 mile for fun one time and ran a 2.1 60 foot time which is extremely impressive." Holy shitballs, folks.

^^ Is that ridiculous or no? I do not know much about these cars, my apologies.
I would rather him rip out the MR2 Interior and price it correctly.

I can relate. I'm just northeast of Charlotte. I had to buy my Justy on E-Bay and had to get one from Alpharetta GA. to get a decent price. If you consider I had to settle for a FWD and instead of AWD I still paid more than a lot of the midwestern and western Justys listed here. ($640) It's the area. If you live near Charlotte like I do, any car worth buying is priced 30 - 75% higher than those listed outside the Charlotte metro area. Go to SC and you'll find many at half price or less. I'm presently looking into converting my FWD to AWD. Looks like all the hanging points are there so it appears "all" I need is an AWD 5 speed, drive line with midship bearing, and a complete rear end suspension from an 89 or earlier. A Subaru that isn't AWD just seems wrong!
