Hello, picked these from a finnish car orienteering site. www.fedima.pl/submenu/30. for the time being i´m using 12" wheels, my car is a first gen. i´m specially interested in the 165/70 R 14 tire. because it would lift the car a bit too. anyone tried this size, how did it fit? trying to make my little lovely car a bit better in snowy and rough conditions. does lifting the body make the car wear out the 4X4 system faster? (sorry didn´t find the right words for this). i guess it does... the picture is kinda small but look at the second link (it´s a polish site) for a larger picture. www.fedima.pt/portal/index.php?id=1187&mode=show&piso_id=1862

Yo ;)justyo--
I would love some info re where to get those tires in USA, Virginia to be exact..
Re the question about wearing out your 4WD gear by lifting the body, I think it would not effect it to put larger tires on it...IF....they will fit without raising the body. (I'm not sure if you meant just put larger tires, or put larger and lift to provide room in the wheel wells for the bigger tire....? ) If you raise the body, then it might work the CV joints a bit more. I don't know about that from experience.
I am running 165/70R13 Kuhmo (spelling? ) M+S HTR4 right now, on my '89 Gl hatchback 4WD. They can take 51 lbs of air. No longer drives like a truck! In spite of being called M+S, they look like all weather tires--not aggressive at all, like the Fedimas you posted about.
Hope you know of a dealer in the US for me.
Thanks henry

I owned a 88 2wd for a while got it for free because it would not start, Acted like timing was off checked it three times could not figure it out so took it to a shop and told them not to spend to much time on it. After three hour of checking timing they stumbled on the problem while one of them was cranking it over the other one noticed it was trying to backfire into the intake manifold. He unhooked the exhaust and it fired right up. turns out the converter was pluged. I found some 13 inch honda rims took 1/8" out of four little spots where they fit over the hub. they worked great.

14" Nissan Micra rims will fit the Gen1 cars, that's what mine is running.
