Wondering if anyone ever swapped the sealed beams out of an 88 Justy to a set of composites? I want to do it, but can't find replacements anywhere.. Not even cars that came stock with composite 5x7's. Anybody?

Wondering if anyone ever swapped the sealed beams out of an 88 Justy to a set of composites? I want to do it, but can't find replacements anywhere.. Not even cars that came stock with composite 5x7's. Anybody? I chose not to swap "Plastic Composites" into my 88 Justy as down here in North Carolina the heat and weather turns them "Milky" and yellow. I have however, installed a set of glass 5x7's with replaceable bulbs similar to the Hella or Cibie units that sell for $100 a pair. I got mine off e-Bay for $28.00 with the shipping included. They look great, work fine but, sadly are not DOT approved... The Hella and Cibie units are but, for the money they were worth it... Sorry NC DMV! Hope this helps, Jim

Forgot about this post - I bought a set of Hella's from a parts store for around $100. They use an H4 bulb that can be replaced with just about any brightness you'll ever need. -Terry
