I don't have a picture to post of a european "trendy" but there are pictures in the build threads to compare to!. I don't understand why these "Justy's" have a raised roof like a Second Gen. Or is this just the difference between a Gen 1 justy and a "Trendy"

What do you mean, is Trendy's suppose to be higher?

As far as I know 'Trendy' is just a different name for Justy, used in a few european countries. Regardless of whether they are Gen1 or 2's. Personally, I don't see a difference in roofline except for the rear hatch spoiler on some non-north american models. Are you basing this on a visual or do you have some spec sheet that shows a different figure in height? I'm thinking the spoiler might make for an optical illusion? Roughly the same angle: My Justy Ultima's Trendy Spoiler illusion?:

Yep mine has that rear spoiler and I really like the looks of it It's of some soft material, that can make you addicted to poking it ^^

I believe in Holland that's the difference between 1.2 and 1.0 engines. The 1.0s have got the 'low' roof, the 1.2s the 'high' roof.

Thanks Justyjon for posting up 2 pics so we can clearly see the difference in roof heights. Thanks Hollandjusty for providing some insight into why. Anyone else confirm that it is according to the engine size?

Whoa. Wait a second. I do sort of see it. The part above the rain channel dealio right? The Trendy does appear to have an additional inch or so in height. Hmm.....bizarre.
Besides the roofline, what is that in front of the headlight? Headlight washer?

Yes it was some headlight washers there, but I removed them since they didn't work anyway. Looked like it wasn't original, but then I saw the same on another trendy :S

I also think the high roof came with the 1.2l A friend has a -85 4wd 3d trendy with the low roof And my two 88 trendy's one 5d and one 3d both 1.2l 4wd has the higher roof but i think the rear hatch is the same and the rubber spoiler is there to fix it's lower hight.

Yes it seems the 1.2l trendy's have higher roofs, but the rear hatch isn't any higher, where I suppose the rupper thing fixes it

I know this is a long shot since this is an old forum but could anyone shoot me the right direction to a spoiler for an 89 justy? And I'm not talking about those obnoxious airplane spoilers either.

I have found this "Trendy" photo with removed spoiler: It looks they just rise roof and put that spoiler on "universal" trunk doors.

That sucks. Looks like I'm gonna have to make a custom spoiler. I wish I knew how to post pictures of my project justy cause it's looking nice.
