Hi, guys this is my first post though I have been lurking (reading) for some time 3 or 4 years. I'll introduce myself elsewhere. But I had to post this. I belong to a Corvair forum (2 actually) and this site was posted there. We Vair nuts have the same tire problem. Albeit longer and our cars were new before radials came from factory cars. Anyway this site "tires-easy.com." has listed a 13" tire in 165-65-R-13. It is by Champiro(?) Obviously an asian brand for under $36.00. Also they show they have 12 Bridgestones in stock. ($60.00) ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=135&cart_id=62724128.135.4185&s_p=indexThought you might be interested. Don't know a thing about the company. Keith

Funny, I was just looking at that website and that tire! There is another website offering them as well I found in a search. I'd be interested in knowing if they actually have them in stock or not.
I just bought a set of alloy wheels from an 80's Audi 4000 that seem to fit (aside from the lug nut issue) and am looking for new tires for them. Either winter or summer...or all season. Can't be too choosy with these sizes.
A friend of mine used these Champiro tires but a different size and he says they are awesome tires. Last forever and not bad performance.
I have the RE92 Bridgestones, got them from the Tire Rack not quite two years ago. I see they have them again. Seem to be fine but for the price I'd go for the Champiros, even if they were the same price I might still go for the Champs.

Sad news. I emailed them about the 165-65-13 GT 128 tire and they are no longer available, either discontinued or on backorder with no eta.

Hello new to this forum but not new to justy's. I own 2 '89 justy fwd. One is a parts car, and the other one is my daily driver with almost 300,000 miles on it. I have owned it for 6 years. I have had a hard time finding the correct tire. I have been using 155 80R13 tires for about 5 years now. They are a common size and several tread designs. The speedometer is off about 2.5 mph with this size of tire. I have been using the Firestone FR380 for the last three sets of tires. I get them for around $35 each. I get good all weather traction and good handling. I live in Kansas so we have our share of snow and ice. I do have a set of studded snow tires for it but haven't had to use them with these tires.

I am brand new here and found this site while doing research looking for the almost "mythical" 155/80 R12 tires. Thanks for this tip. I am having the hardest time finding 155/80 R12 tires. I found a very handy web site that does tire calculations to help you figure out your speedometer changes when you change sizes. www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.aspWhen I calculated the switch from the R12 to the R13, it is off by 4.4%. Taking that number plugs into an Excel spreadsheet very easily and voila: Old Indicated 10 10 15 14 20 19 25 24 30 29 35 34 40 38 45 43 50 48 55 53 60 57 65 62 70 67
Where indicated is what your speedometer would say to be driving the OLD desired speed. i.e. I want to drive 70 MPH and with the new tires, the speedometer should read 67 MPH now.

Welcome Raven! Have you considered upping to the 13" tire that came on some of the 2nd gen Justy? Mine came with 165-65-13 tires which are similar in diameter to the 12" ones you are looking for. They are hard to find also but you can get 165-70-13, 155-70-13. If you want to go a little bigger than that you can fit 175-70-13 without too much trouble and even 155-80-13 if you do some cutting. I've got my new 155-70-13 winter tires on right now and it's snowing outside today! Look up Justyjon's recent threads where he upgraded his 12" wheels/tires to 13" 175-70.
