Just to put some of you in reality check about this 12" tire accessibility.
I have already reported in an older posting that 12" tires are now considired in the category of "Exotic Size" in my area. Cincy Midwest zone.
I spent 2 evenings calling every tire shop in the tri-state area.
My results were anything from "your kidding" to "only in a trailer tire" to "I will have to order them and it will take 1 week" to "I`ve got 1 only" and my favorite from WalMArt "We only list them in the store as a starter price but none of the stores in the area have had one for over 2 years now"
Tirerack said that the 155/80r12 Kuhmos have been on backorder since December and they don`t have a receiving date yet.
I had to wait for one local company to get a set of 4 in from there warehouse at a price of $43 a piece. Some brand called Goodride which is a Chinese knockoff by there printing of Goodyear. The sidewall was frightening because I swear it has the same thickness as a penny, but I was desperate since my tires were starting to show cord. Just had to pass on my own experience on this issue and forwarn you that it`s coming your way...RONAN

Frustrating isn't it? I managed to find two 12's locally last fall, but I still need two more to pass inspection this year. Ronan I heard the same comments from the places I called. I'd get 13" wheels, but who knows how long before 13's become scarce ... Perhaps with the bad economy here in the US, the trend will head back to small cars/wheels, but I'm not sure if 12" wheels will ever return.
