Brake discs became hot after few miles of driving my Justy. I guess that the caliper pistons and gaskets are worn. What is the size of the caliper piston in Justy 1.2 4WD 1990? I could measure only diameter - 51 mm. In a store they have two pistons of such diameter. The first one is 43 mm high and the other - 46 mm high. Which one should I buy? Kchelm

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

Kchelm, are you "kchelm" as in the-edge-of-nowhere? The-tail-of-nothingness?

Can't you just exchange your caliper for a reconditioned one and get the core charge back. Unless, of course, you like rebuilding your own caliper...if the piston is trashed, chances are the bore is too. May just need new seals.

The seals and one caliper piston had to be replaced and the rusted seal groove had to be cleaned. For Justy 1.2 4WD '90 with carb the caliper piston outer diameter is 51 mm and the hight is 43 mm. Now the car is going like without friction!
