I remember that site. Recently it showed the parts but no way to call or order anything. I wonder if they've got it together now? Some of that stuff looks like dealer NOS.

I am so F#(K!NG happy to announce that there is now a supplier of PERFORMANCE parts made just for the Subaru JUSTY! dustysjustys.com/Jim, there's you .020 over pistons baby! Yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! This is definitely a really cool thing for all of us! Something tells me though, that this guy is based in North Carolina right around my backyard... The Justys in the pics that you see in Dusty's "other" section belong to a well known die hard Subaru guy named Jimmy Higgins who owns/runs a Subie only repair shop in Salisbury NC..I physically touched those cars 4 or 5 months ago and almost bought a "slightly wrecked" silver 91 4WD FI 5speed car from him as a drivetrain donor for my 88 project but, the price was too high ($600.00). (I mentioned the car in a previous post). I don't know if Jimmy is working with this guy, supplying used parts, or...He just let the guy take pics of his cars. (Last time I was at Jimmy's shop he had about 6 or 7 Justys in total...I think I have 10 now behind my shop!!). I promise to do some investigative work and post with info on this when I know more. In any event, if Dusty can deliver the goods he will be a valuable asset to the "Justy Nation"!! I will absolutely check on his forged slugs and other cool Justy do-dads. I gotta ask him where is he's getting his core FI engines. It took me 2 years to find one that didn't have a hole in the side of block and It needed a major rebuild. Very Interesting Jim

Are we sure it isn't a scam website? It seems to be a lot of talk, no real pictures (just stock photos that could have been found anywhere) and lots of information that could have been garnered from the internet. I'd be wary... It's happened quite a lot, scammers offering specialist or rare parts for cars on the internet.

Radiatorexpress.com has Justy radiators for $175. This guy charges $360. You be the judge as to this guy's intentions.

I agree with alot of you guys..I looked at the website again today and noticed a lot of the neat stuff either had "Coming Soon" or "In Development" next to it. The only thing that is available NOW are the "Reinforced Bearings". I want to know what that hell makes them so special? Hell, do they have titanium shells? Utilize a "Special" sintering process to reduce delamination? Have a patented ceramic coating to reduce heat, friction, and wear? I noticed that he offers a "Performance" short block stuffed with goodies for $2999 and a "Reworked" cyl head for $499. For $3498 this combo is supposed to make 130 Hp N/A and 200hp with 15 PSI boost @ 8000 RPM.... I love Justys but, come on..I know their limitations. Do It Sideways built a Turboed FI 88 Justy running about 8-10 PSI of boost and said it made in the neighborhood of 120hp.. This is a realistic number and.. As some of you old members may recall he had a hell of a time keeping a clutch in it. I hope the guy is for real but, his claims seem a bit far fetched. Again...I promise to try and find out the details Jim

I am pretty sure DustyJusty is a member this board. So I would expect a response sometime to all the potential customers so they don't lose interest in the wares for sale. Right now I am closer to buying from the dealer for that kind of stuff, it might cost a little more but I know I will get the parts guaranteed.

Right now I am closer to buying from the dealer for that kind of stuff, it might cost a little more but I know I will get the parts guaranteed. Hope you enjoyed your quiet time alone and no, he is not a member of this board either. I did some extensive searching and I found Mr. Dusty Justy myself. If you must know, I found his myspace page and after getting over the shock & awe of the video footage showing his mid 80's DL/GL hatchback with Nissan Skyline tail lamps, I wrote him an e-mail asking him 8 questions of the skeptic. Despite being on holiday he answered my query candidly and completely item by item. I will reprint this below. First you will see each question followed by his reply. Enjoy Jimmie supplies me with parts as does Calhouns, Lewis, and several other business.I'm for real... I am a mail-order parts business and restore antique musical instruments and chain saws in my spare time. The EF12 is built tough, (tougher than most Nissan 4cyls infact). With a turbo 200HP is very realistic, as most people on stock internals with turbo at 7psi achieve ~130HP @ the flywheel. Maximum calculated HP on stock internals seems to be near 250 as you should get forged pistons to support elevated levels of boost, which are unavailable yet. Have never built one to run over 15psi so can not determine true MAX, only on paper with calculator.Yes, I have built two shortblocks for customers and one for my own testing and have done a few heads. My test engine is running MegaSquirt ECU and RHB5 turbo at 10psi. Kit will not be available for sale for a while due to high manufacturing cost (not enough demand). Unless someone wants a one-off.The ECVT will not last stock, everyone knows this. The five speed will hold up with limited abuse, (no dumping clutch at 6000rpm and etc). Once again, have never been over 15psi so is unknown. Weakest link seems to be the differential, will just have to wait and see unless someone beats me to it. ;-)I am on vacation in TN this week, everything is closed. My phone number is unpublshed on the web as I am a home based business and do not like recieving calls all night and ending up with telemarketers. All of my information is clearly posted on my invoices and my business liscense which most online retailers dont have.I am new to the online business, I had my own shop before moving to Greensboro and I still have a small facility near Myrtle Beach where I do my work with two other fellows helping as it is a long drive. I do not do forums, groups, chat rooms, etc... period. There is too much opinionated BS and misinformation posted. I have another life and family outside of the internet. I do no advertising other than on cardomain and google, I have all the work I can keep up with in my other businesses, the Justys are just my toys. I have to agree with him on this one Hope this answers some of your questions. Feel free to contact me at anytime. I will be away from the computer and resume operations on the 15th... have a good evening!I think this pretty much speaks for itself. When he gets back from his vacation I am going to order a few small things from him and report back to you on what happens. I'll be the guinea pig on this one. you're welcome

SeattleJusty, Thanks for doing my homework..I owe ya man! I was planning on shooting Dusty an E-mail this week. Unfortunately, much the last few days were spent putting together a power point presentation for a Toyota engine class I have to teach on Wednesday. I'm glad Dusty's on the level with his stuff. I feel somewhat bad that in my last post my comments were a bit on the negative side but, for the 8 years I've been playing with Justys I have had to deal with alot of BS claims and a nonexistent aftermarket. As a result, I guess I've become skeptical..Hell, haven't we all! I will e-mail him when he gets back in town on the 15th and see what he has available in the way of parts. I will also try and convince him to register and post on this board. Fact is...We need more people "In the know" on this board and he seems to be onto something. Those of you "Justy Fanatics" who are interested in the type of stuff he is doing with Justys should shoot him an e-mail and let him know that we are really interested and will support him. Then maybe he won't see ALL boards as a haven filled with a bunch of B.S.rs and bench racers. Just a thought! Jim

On his test mule, he is using fuel injection. Pleas reread the Q&A post. Jim, don't feel bad for being pessimistic. I'm a skeptic (I think we all know that by now) I think he's charging a bit much for his shortblocks, especially if they aren't outright. Maybe they are worth it and are race ready. In either case I will probably build my own shortblock as I have extra sets of bearings -.25mm and -.5mm already and I don't need a race spec block. There are a number of local machinists that can grind, lighten, balance my crank, rods, block, flywheel etc etc for a total much less than three grand. However I think the real value is in his performance heads considering on exchange they are less than the price of a plain-Jane regular rebuilt head!
