I am new to the justy scene, and I am looking for tires for my 1990 gl. They are expensive and hard to find! I guess I could use 155/80/13's, or I'm thinking of just buying wheels with tires already mounted, since that will cost less. I'm looking at like 14" audi wheels (4x100) and similair vw wheels... how wide of a tire am I able to fit on a stock justy and avoid rubbing? Is there any modification that I need to do to run a wider tire? (say 175/70, or maybe even 185). Thanks!

i use 165/65 13's as they are quiet common where i am (well, they were untill 15's+ came standard issue... ;D ) i use 13x5.5 inch rims, offset at 25mm (standard is 35-38mm?) the front fits perfect, while the rear could do with an extra 5mm or so, or a 19mm offset. i reckon you could get away with wider wheels, others have but i dont know what offsets and tyre rubbing they have?! Renault use the same rim spec (4x100, 35-38mm) on their Clios, Megane, Espace but the problem i found when looking was the centre bore was a fraction too small....or was that Vauxhall??! anyway, that might need to be enlarged a little, otherwise they would work ;D someone has managed 15's, and they looked pretty cool hope this helps
