This may be a well know trick, but I thought I'd share.
In prepping for our next race I rebuilt the bottom end, and while doing so, removed the oil relief valve plug, and stuck a machine screw in the spring to increase the pressure on the spring = higher oil pressure cut.. now the oil pressure runs almost 60 lbs above 2000 RPM!
hopefull this will save us on rod bearings in the future
To bad the rally is delayed till July due to severe rains washing out the roads... (should be racing today instead of sitting in front of computer!)

Dude....remember that too much oil pressure isn't always a good thing.
Sucks that Bear was moved huh....i had my car all back together (brand new short block, heads, gaskets). Although i did only have about 200 kms on the new motor...so it wasn't completely broken in yet

I guess replacing the oil pump housing and the rotor would be a good idea here.
