Hi all.
Sorry for my bad english.
I came to the forum to ask you for help, and seek knowledge.
Prehistory:
I bought this car, realizing what I need it.
Subaru Justy: 1989 y, 4WD, engine 1200, EF12, 49Kw (67hp),
3 doors, mileage only 60,000km.
The body has been repaired (now there is no rust), and re-painted.
Anti-corrosion treatment.
It is not possible to find a car to an even better condition.
This car for many years was not in motion. It was a toy for big boys, as they say in my country: proektti-auto.
Only a project that will never be ready.
Each successive owner did only repair, but never drove to the car.
Perhaps now it's my toy
I hope it will not so, the car is required for winter.
Now there is no way of knowing that was repaired.
I'll have to learn it yourself. Unfortunately, it is.
And I do not have a donor car
What been done (I can see this):
- swap from ECVT to manual 5-speed transmission
- new clutch
- gear lever
- speed cable
- starter motor
- front-wheels (axle)
- clutch pedal
What NOT been done:
- clutch cable
- rear differential (not been replaced)
- flywheel (probably not been replaced)
- Vacuum line for 4WD is not connected
- engine bracket on top (not been replaced)
- electrical cables not been replaced (none of them)
- not been done any modify wiring
- control units for carburetor and for ECVT (not been replaced)
- dashboard
Now there is a problem:
When try to run the starter - of course, nothing happens (the lock is not disabled).
But the clock (in dashboard) is quickly darken, probably a strong oxide in power cables?
I have carefully read these topics in the forum:
1. 2. 3. But I think that's not enough. I would like to know more, in
particular - about electrical connections.
I would be grateful for any links. And any other advice.
Thanks!
