sorry for not updating in awhile but i need more sage wisdom
so yea the carbs on but it doesn't have a anti dieseling switch is their any way to fix the dieseling without the switch or will i have to find one for my carb. that and the justy sometimes doesn't want to start (low batt power noise) but i give it a sec and tap the gas and it bogs then evens out and idles fine
any ideas comments or concerns are welcome
(things not hooked up auto-choke anti diesel switch and the hose going from the valve cover to air box on carb) that and i could use a good recommendation for a clutch preferably performance but as i said all comments accepted )

The auto-choke probably need a resistor in order to tell the ECU it's there and working.
The hose you mention is for the crankcase ventilation.
Stock clutch is fine for most cases, but I think Dusty's Justy's sell performace clutches.

Depending on the engine, the Weber can be prone to dieseling if the timing is advanced past stock spec. If you're set at stock timing, then it could be from a lean fuel condition. What are your idle mixture and idle speed screws set at? The auto choke can be connected to the same wire that was connected to the Hitachi, so that would help start up tremendously.

I recently posted tuning instructions in reply #6 below for Austin, but you should have instructions since you bought a new kit. subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=engine&action=display&thread=5060and doesnt the choke need to be set up in the cold? Connect the choke wire to the choke or it will not open on it's own. After you have the timing set and the carb tuned you can fine tune the choke, but it should work pretty good or perfect without any adjustment

what i was trying to say is the choke has not been wired up yet i.e nothings hooked to the connector (choke was left open due to the fact i didnt know how to set it up correctly)
just wanted to know if it would hurt it any more than it already is

I'm buying that same carb kit. Let's see what happens. Ferox, King of the Echo People, please don't abandon me.

I just tore my 88 justy carb apart today to find that everything was gummed up around the mounting gaskets which were also junk and had coolant mixing with my fuel which is causing idle problems when it is cold. thought it was auto choke but that was working just fine. hope this helps, also if you are going to change the gasket you will need 2 of them you can get them on rock auto for like 3 dollars and you will need some carb cleaner.
