so for the dry sump system, does anyone know where to have the oil enter the engine from the oil tank?

Well I think you should somehow get it in where the standard oil pump goes. As the first pic I posted, the small pipe is where the standard pump goes, and that way you have the dry sump oil inlet Now I have never opened up a justy engine, but maybe you could locate the standard oil pump outlet and then somehow connect a hydralic nipple to it.. EDIT: isn't the marked place where the oil goes from the pump to oil filter? THen couldn't you get inside that from the front, like the arrow?

Oh I've proven it. You must not have taken right handers as hard as I have. I'd like to see it with me own eyes. Not that I ever will; my padded 4wd gen II is a tank compared to these old gen I dl's Sounds like baffles might be a practical solution for a Justy racer. stacks Indeed. I have been driving my '91 Gen2 4X4 all week and although quieter and more comfortable, it is slower, less fuel efficient, and lethargic in comparison to both the Gen1s I have owned. I couldn't induce oil starvation on the Gen2 until upgrading to 175/70R13s

Stacks! I hope you're not baggin' on the Gen 'I's! </3 thats heartbreak right there my friend. I don't mind if you rip on the DLs though hehehe. And to keep on track with the topic. That green and silver combo is sweeeeeeet. Makes my tractor green valve cover even less impressive haha. Oh and I dunno if you're seriously considering the dry sump thing or just planning it, but I'd say going with a dry sump before doing anything else to your motor might be like buying the cart before the horse if you catch my drift. Have you been noticing your oil temps all that high? or have you been having oil starvation problems? Sorry to play the Dad role on this one, but just thought you might want some advice from the other side of the fence. If you don't have a problem don't try to solve it you know? I will say, however, I've heard that a dry sump can give you an increase in HP (playing the devil's advocate is more fun)

Never rode in a Gen I but I'm told they've even more of a 'go-cart' feel to 'em. Besides, I prefer to knock on those blasted CVTs!! stacks Yeah they do have a sportier, more raw kind of feeling. A big part of it is that the Gen1s have a faster rack 3.9 vs 4.3 and the lighter wheel & tire combo can react faster than the Gen1GLs.

I would like to get a hold of a front cover new or used. Anyone know where i could get one for cheap? Dustys justys has them new for $399 but i would like to spend a little less than that for just using it to experiment

Any suggestions? I've seen some modified mounts but i kinda just wanna do this quick and easy cause i can always change it up later

theres a good thread hidden away somewhere about this. I found it because I need to replace my pitch stop mount. Theres two main schools on this one. You can either use a replacement roller for a boat trailer cut to fit, or you can use some of the squeeze style polyurethane.
Apparently You can also just jam a 3 inch extension in there too though, and then sell me the car. Thats what my car's PO did anyway.
