probably even cheaper...
but i ratter say 300$....just in case.
i want it to be top notch... i could mcgiver something for 100$..but thats not the idea..
i want good coil and a clean and solid way to attach it to the crossmember and table....
the sleeve i dontcare to much...its mostly all the same crap comming from the same taiwan shop...usualy 50$ will get you some....but for the rest...i dont know yet ?
do you want some ? i know you could have some made your self or make them your self...so do i...but it always come cheaper if we buy more then one set...

i'm working on something.
but do some measurements and i think that a 2.5 Inch Race Spring will fit into the stock spring perches without a problem.
the only benefit you will have is height adjustability. But that really isn't a big deal. As you could just as easily change the springs, rather than just adjust them

ya....depend on how much the spring cost ?
i really like the possibility to adjust them....the justy is very low compare to many rally car....after the wrx and evo have went tru the stage you should see how deep the ruts are ?? some places if we would of stay in there track we would of got stock ?
The car is always hi...but the possibility of getting more clearance if needed is sweet and will be needed.
also some rally like défie have tarmac stages so its wort the time to mave your crew to lower the car....same thing whit spectator stages...and some time rally are splited in 2 or 3 section...the first one around town is cool...then you have service and the seccond part you go deep in the woods and now its getting scary...

Yeah I like the idea of the adjustablity too.
And like I mentioned to you Alain, I have this great machine shop in the area, they have built all kinds of wierd things for me.
But I think the easy way would to build to steel tubes with plate bottoms on for receiving the spring, the other for the adjustable perch... these could just bolt in... and we may not even need machine work.
Anyway things ae really moving now.. And I think we'll be ready for Blackbear! (I just need some cheap nomex! Yeah burn baby burn!)

i found those pig tail type of spring...that mite save some work on one end.. If you reverse it...we mite find one that will fit just in place...im just not shure if the small end is flat ? that would be a perfect fit for the coil over sleeve. and like Mat sead.. to fix the sleeve to the frame we would just need a tube or rod welded to a plate to bolt on the frame. im looking at afco and they only have them in 150lbs 5.5 x11" i havent mesure them...but its seam close ? im just worried about the 150lbs...mite be to much ? i will look in to it...

humm...i just mesured the justy rear oem coil...
they are 2" 3/4 internal diameter...and about 11" tall...
so...the pigtail coil i found are no good...unless the pigtail is close to 2 3/4 ? i will check....

Huummm ok i have look more in to it.. the regular 2" 5/8 spring will fit... there is 10" regular...and 10.5" "progressiv"...progressiv sound nice..but what rate are they ? the springs i have on my car are just a litle shorter then 11"...since we will need to fit a plate and sleeve i think a 10 or 10.5 spring will be perfect...but i mite be wrong ? any suggestion ? its all there have funn : www.secureperformanceorder.com/afcostore/getsubclasses.cfm?ClassID=223&CategoryID=17after that...only need to find the rigth weigt...

the rear springs are VERY stiff. since they are set so far into the control arm.
The stock springs are 235 lbs.

are you 100% shure ?
whats up whit the GL ? thats only for the older version rigth ? so the GL shock would work on a newer model ? and it would be better ?
i got some oem for the rear to day...OMFG are they expensiv(god bless my sponsors) and i ask if the GL would work and they sead no coz its the older version...but...what do they know...the last justy they saw at the dealer was probably 6 years ago...
I got tired of the escort GT shock....i blew 3 in 2 rally? the oem seam to last longuer ?? but at 170$ a pop(300MSRP???) i have to get some bilstein it will be alot cheaper at the end. coz this is ridiculous...
having some good spring will help them to stay alive thats for shure...

Hey Guys I missed all the fun... just got in from the cage builders.. slowly progressing should be done by Monday...
I have a pretty good thought for the rear, but I can't figure out how to post my jpeg here?
might build it out of spite this weekend and see...

Cage... Local circle track boys, a little coaxing and some persuasion and they are on the right track.
mostly 1.75 /.120 DOM, man that stuffs pricey! but I think better then ERW eh? even for our light cars.
Went from very basic to full on, dash bar, main hoop cross braced, rear stays cross braced, Halo cross braced, tied into front end... there's more steel in the cage then in the car! But I figure it will help hold the car together... and if I kill the car, I can cut it off the cage and drive just it around for fun!
Anyway back to building some suspension that will handle what we need...
How's
Front 450, Rear 350 non variable for $120 cnd. plus a bit for some welding work to make it work? maybe a total of $200
I looked at a Civic (yuck) coil over kit that would give us those spring rates and the tubes for the 120 bucks... and I've figures out almost all the mounting. Those are 8" springs which are easily souced at other rates if we find we need to play a bit, Length looks not bad, maybe a bit short for the front, but with that sort of stiffness?

I have 160 in the front and they are perfect...the guy hoo built my car and many rally justy(like 8?) told me not to go over 250.
the rear is a otter story becose of the way they placed.
the kit is a very cool deal...but i dont think we can find one that will have the good set up for front and rear.
will have to go part by part..thats wy i like the afco...cos so far its the only place were i found springs and sleeve that are not sorted by aplication.

Yeah I guess we're way to heavy for the fron with that rate... But That 2 1/2" diam is pretty standard... And the circle track boys that are doing the cage gave me their cataloge $75 for a pair (I think pair could be just one but whatever) of AFCO springs. Rates vary from 200- 800 in 8 inch... 100 to 650 in 10", 80-850 12" 80-350 14" all in 25 pound increments
