I was browsing on carb. I came to know that subaru's carb is by hitachi. In Nissan Datsun 120Y 1980 model the carb used was also made by Hitachi and is mostly similar to subaru. You should check that out.

Yes, The datsun also uses a Hitachi carb, but not same model. The hitachi carb for EF12 subaru is also different than EF10.
I haven't been able to identify the exact product No./model of this carb. Just that it's only used in the EF10s.

I completed the rebuild but i am facing leakage problems. and second thing is that there is some problem in assembling the butterfly i think i didn't assembled it correctly because when i apply accelerator only one butterfly opens, second ones remains close.
Did you fix your vaccum lines? If you need help regarding vaccum let know.

Thanks Hashim. Yes, this is exactly what I did... Not much of a difference but RPM seems more stable.
Do you have any pipes/lines connected to Air filter? Towards the left side firewall??

Now I figured it out that the flooding was not due to carburetor. It was bad head gasket. And the missing was due to 2nd cylinder which was not working, valves were blown!!!!

I guess only badshah documented his rebuild of an EF10 on this forum. Another detailed rebuild thread for EF10 would be highly appreciated

Well there was another member 'coal' here, who did the same, Once I printed out his forum posts, here they are dl.dropbox.com/u/102471014/Coal%27s%20engine%20rebuildIt is not so difficult, and one should build an engine once in a lifetime Just keep track of all the nuts and bolts, and small parts, bag and label them. Take pictures so you remember things. Keep everything clean, and get a torque wrench if possible. Never open a part or an assembly if you are not planning on putting it back together immediately.
