I ran a hone through the cylinder bores today. Cleaned up good, no ridge. I need to have Nick the machinest run his dial bore gage through it. See how much taper to the cylinders, just so i'll know.

another option? mazda miata 1.6 pistons in 79mm... not sure about pin diameters(justy is 18mm)and other factors. but perhaps a way to make compression on the 'cheap'?...j

He may have meant Mazda Miata pistons that are 1mm oversized, killer.
