why does the clutch light come on its a ecvt trani. The ECVT uses an electromagnetic powder clutch to transfer torque from the engine to the transmission. If the clutch gets hot the resistance in the windings changes and this triggers the light. Also worn out clutch brushes will cause this. Brushes are under the starter.

I know that this thread is old, but I thought I would share. The new (to me) 1990 Justy we brought home last week, had some old oak blocks tied with wire in between the rear springs. They were all broke but I'm pretty sure it was an attempt to either stiffen the suspension for off roading or to carry extra weight. Either way they came out.
