so been lurking here for awhile... I have a 93 subaru justy with FI. I bought it for $100 bucks, i looked for one for awhile and finally found one with the guy i work with!! When i bought it had: -purple and yellow flames -ranibow pinstiping -motorcycle exhaust -blood soaked interior (it was nasty) -weird paint on the hood (it felt like sandpaper) -custom made body kit from japan i guess to say the least it needed some work... So first thing i did was rip off the body kit MODS: custom intake custom cherrybomb exhaust gutted cat mac tools 3cyl tach custom 6pt cage wagon style wheels (wicked strong) skid plates under front. short shifter more im sure. will take more pics and stuff soon.. so i painted the ghey flames over with blue... I custom made some fog light brackets for the front and put on some hella 500's. At the same time i decided to put on actual subaru justy fog lights (wicked rare that we had laying around). To complete the look i cut a hole in the hood and put an JDM STI hood scoop on. After that i put on a custom intake (at the time its different now) so i can use that big scoop. I then put on some grafics on the side to make it look at least a little better. At the same time completely gutted the interior, every thing was gone I MEAN EVERYTHING! then rhino lined the inside. I started racing it and doing well so now its just a rally car that i beat on once a month. here are some more pics.

Wow, that intake looks great.... lot's of nice, HOT air. Must make at least 50 more horsepower than it did with the stock air cleaner that those overpaid, overeducated bozo car engineers over at Subaru spent millions of dollars to create. What do they know, right?

What do they know, right? LOL sounds like someone needs to get laid huh. if you look at the intake the air filter goes to the hoodscoop where it gets COLDER air. Trust me it made a difference. As for not being 4wd, just because it dosent have the switch on the shifter, dosent mean its not there, ill make a write on that soon also. As for it NOT being a rally car, you my friend are still a n00b, when is it caged, rallyed, trailered to every event, has a log book and barley ever driven on the street then its a rally car. So what your saying is that a guy who rally preps his Impreza and only rallys it its still not a rally car?

Looks great. I'd like to do something simular to mine. Do you have any ideas or tips to doing it since it's my first rally project, and to this clown talking about "just a justy". What's with all this nay-saying. It's a still sweet car.

yeah, "the switch" you fake. the switch is missing just like all the other missing 4x4 components. take a look at the megacool underbody-picture. and about "rally-justys": a justy is not ment to be a sportscar. engine, drivetrain....its all designed for daily use. period. putting a trailer + horn to a car will not either make it a truck. its just as stupid as that.

BTW: this "hoodscoob-intake" is complete useless for the justy.
get a point in physics. 1. the justy has a big open front bumper that envelopes a massive air pressure, within a certain speed 2. hot air will be pushed from the front bumper over the manifold to the "hoodscoop". its not even able to suck air from above.
therefore the impreza has a CLOSED inlet from the hood... -> useless.

wow your not to bright huh, how do figure that the hoodscoop dosnt suck air? when going down the road, what do you think is cooler air, in the engine bay or over the top of the hood. Before you start typing learn first.
"and about "rally-justys": a justy is not ment to be a sportscar. engine, drivetrain....its all designed for daily use. period."
riiiight. wow you need to be put to sleep. Seeing i have rallyed it for about 2 1/2-3 years now, and havent come anywhere below 4th place, i think it does pretty well! Are you jealous cause i race mine and dont care about it and its a prized piece for you? Are you jealous cause i beat on it? Get a life. As for the "fake" 4wd, those pics were older before i installed the 4wd system. Again before you type, think a little before you do. It might help you out in the long run jackass.
Heres a question, what makes a rally car a rally car? 1. a good platform. some use impezas some use evos and neons. I used a justy. so far so good. 2. Protection? check! cage? check! 4-6 point harness? check! skid plates? check! (need more tho) 3. Rally equipment? 13in michellin gravel tires? check! Numbers asighned by SCCA? check! 100watt fog lights? check! Log book? yup! Performance? justy dosent have a lot, but does pretty well! You dont need 300hp to win in rally, you can ask any really driver that. But you wouldnt really know about that, you just drive yours normal and worry about MPG. Do some research before you type asshole.

seriously, your understandung about aerodynamics is the joke of the week and you are also a bad liar.
your "hoodscoop-system" doesnt suck air, because its not sepperated from the the engine bay. any moving car develops a high air pressure in the engine bay. the faster the car, the faster the pressure is. soooo the hole in your hoodscoop is simply too small to balance this pressure out => no airflow.
-got the point now?
thats why the impreza has a seald up inlet for this "hoodscoop".
and PLEASE let us all see pictures from your custom 4x4 system. ;D

please. what exactly makes a justy a good platform? even a justy with 4x4 (that you dont have) isnt a wise choice. the whole drivetrain is far too weak for motorsports and thats why your justy will be on the junkyard soon. way to go, dipshit.

Easy now , Tigers... We're all 3 cylinder brothers here... tough talk belongs in the 4; 6; 8 cylinder mall racing forums... He is trying to experiment with hopes of extracting some bit of get up and go to the challenged stock JUSTY ooomph... can't blame a guy for trying! Play nice, aye?,

i just cut the shifter for the short throw. No custom 4wd here, just a donated stock 4wd system from a 92 that i had. There is just a push button 4wd switch on the dash instead of the shifter. A great platform for a rally car is: light, nimble, somwhat strong (you can make it stronger like i did) stock 4wd, and expendble. if i kill it on the coarse i dont really give a farcle. you need to lurk more before you post

Do you have skid plates over the oil pan? If so I'd love to see how you did it.
