I like it! I especially like the early versions like yours. I imagine it's pretty good and secure to drive with the permanent AWD setup too.

A geo metro is a subaru justy....hmmmm very interesting. That car you have is unbelievable. I didn't even know existed. I owned a geo and loved it but it wasn't 4wd, yours with AWD is the greatest. Good Luck. If you haven't fixed it yet, use a plug insert and you will be back on the road in 30 minutes.

It isn't a Geo Metro, it's a Hungarian-built re-badged Suzuki Swift with an AWD drivetrain and a Suzuki 1.3 4-cyl engine (which has less power than the carb'd 1.2 3-cyl Justys!). Quite an interesting car though, I wouldn't mind owning one for the winter.

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

Milford, in the USA only a few thousand Swifts were sold but hundreds of thousands of those cars were sold through General Motors dealerships as the Geo Metro and Chevrolet Metro. So when we see one we say, oh, a Geo Metro

I thought the Geo Metro was quite a bit different, but I was wrong.

they are a bit sluggish compared to the early Justys we all know. its heavier basically. i dont know what it is like to drive, but a chick that used to be on this forum (Rogue?) got one after someone trashed her mk2 justy. i met up with her one day and we drove off, i put my foot down and she was left behind (until i slowed down to let her catch up, of course ). that was on a straight bit of road, and i was suprised. however, the Swift Gti is a rapid car and suzuki did 'make' a few in awd. ive only ever seen 2 of them and that was years back. cracking little cars to look at, but i hate to say i do prefer the older Justys!

if it uses the same engine as the suzuki you can get a lot of upgrades for it. if that is the case you can bolt in a whole host of other engines, maybe even the jimny or vitara engines? i am just thinking out loud on this one btw and have nothing to confirm this is possible. maybe someone knows if it is suzuki or subaru engine? please let me know, as it might be a more feasable project car than i ever even gave a second of my time to!

It's a Suzuki engine. I've heard about somebody planning to put a Swift GTi engine into a Mk3 Justy. Should be interesting! baron, the 4WD Swifts were very rare and AFAIK the GTis only came with FWD and the only 4WD version was this 4-door. www.oldjapanesecar.com

Subaru say its same as a suzuki swift but Suzuki are not owning up to it part wise. if I could get a fix in what suzuki model It is, it would make life easier for geting cheaper parts.

It's a Swift! Just like this one They only stopped making that style of Swift a couple of years ago so they should still be aware of it.

We got the Nissan Sunny (Euro-market name for the Pulsar) GTi-R in limited numbers. There's lots of imported Pulsars though.

What's wrong with it, leaking? You can get stuff you put in the fluid reservoir which seals up leaks - I've tried it before and it works.
