holy time warp. I actually posted this last year, but guess it is that time of year again! Should be pretty greasy up there for them this year, I woke up this morning to 6 inches of snow on my Justy! Not a typo, just springtime in Alberta.....

Never actually been to a rally before, and I suspect what I saw was not representative of a typical rally.Certainly not like "justycr's" little bit in this post.It was staged in what is a dirtbike track here in the center of an industrial park here in calgary, not too far from down town either.Anyway there were portions of the short little stint that were quite mucky, 6 to 8 inch's of mud in some corners or little mud bogs on the straight. This big old volvo actually got stuck and the tow vehicle was almost stuck trying to move the two.... it was a big ford F250. So there was no high speed flyby's but still entertaining never the less. A few of the faster car's( read that Subaru's) actually got all four wheels off the ground right next to where I was standing. If my pic's turn out they should be nice.I got the impresion that the reason this portion of the rally was held here was strictly to expose the sport to people who would not otherwise come out.....Like me.I was so impressed that I bought a copy of the rally racing rules OH OH.

Yup, I think the addition of the blackfoot part you saw was just done over the last two or three years kind of as advertising for the actual rally which takes place out on the trunk road area. Thats where you would see more of the kind of stuff as in justycrs clip.

Oh man, that blackfoot stage was an embarassment. DON'T think that was anything like real rally, because it wasn't! The jump was kind of fun to watch, but the rest was pretty slow and muddy.
