I'm thinking of closing the oil squirters on rod big end to raise oil pressure on the rrod bearings. Seems to be conflucting schools of thought for more performance oriented engines. I don't foresee melted pistons, nor have I seen that as an issue on this board. Wrist pin lubrication is the only downside I am imagining

I will doing the same since the new bearings I have do not have holes machined into them. I don't think it really makes a difference. I think it may actually help lubricate the thrust side of the bearings better. My reason being that by closing the squirt hole oil will have a tendency to oil the bearing more evenly, instead of have a tendency towards the low pressure hole.
