Hi there
the Justy 1991, 4wd, with carburetor, I smell gas/fuel out of the exhaust... can someone point me out what to adjust to keep it running normal?
I remember I saw years ago someone here that had the same issues, but unfortunately I cannot find the thread anymore...
Thanks a lot!

i made a post in trouble shooting about a bad fuel smell (made the whole car smell like gas). there's also a few posts by other members.., 88' justy e12, fwd, mt, carb, vacuum advance, no egr... fuel would puddle in the intake manifold, black exhaust, wouldn’t stay running, hard to start cold, no horse power, backfired and dieseled when the engine was shut off.
carb had a bad gasket between the float and choke chambers, a bent needle on the idle adjusting screw and heavy deposits/corrosion in the float chamber. (also had burnt/worn intake and exhaust valves, rings, bearings, distributor, etc.)

You might also want to check your whole exhaust system for exhaust leaks pointing in the cabin, I found my leak to be on the top side of the rear muffler, going into the boot and eventually in the cabin, fixed it and no more smell :-)
Goodluck :-)
