There are 2 best stories I have when I meet someone who never ever seen or hear about Justys. No. 1 A boy asks me if my old 87 Justy is a "tuned" Škoda Favorit (there was tons of these cars hre in Slovakia few years ago) with Subaru stickers on it... No. 2 When I was buying new battery for my Justy in a shop, where I don't usually buy parts, the guy makes sure: "It isn't a motorbike, right?" And one extra story: When I sell my grey Justy and buy the red one, I was talking with my friend about the colors and he said the grey one looks like fish. It has metalic dark grey top and light metalic grey down... Can you see some difference? What are Your best stories?

I was refueling and a guy came up looked the car over for a minute. Came up to me and asked what year I told him an 88. Then he when on telling me a story about how he loves hatchbacks and that he used to own an 89. We talked for a a few minutes about cars in general by then I'm done refueling and he says well I'll let you go, just had to talk to you about that sweet Honda hatch.
I didnt even respond I just let him live the lie. The funny thing was how long he studied the car from behind and never noticed that it was a Subaru

I've got a few recent funny comments/encounters with my justy.
I was pulling into a parking garage, I had to speak to an attendant that seemed pretty enthusiastic to begin with. He asked what the car was, made a comment about the exhaust note , I have no muffler, and then told me " Man you know what I have a pair of these in my closet!! This thing is like a high top Chuck Taylor!" All I could do is laugh.
Went all a little road trip about 40 minutes away I stopped for gas and a fella was starring me down about 3 pumps away. He hollers over asking if its an old VW, I tell him the make model year, He drives over to me and after twenty minutes of various questions about justys and where to find one He ends up leaving saying " I am buying one of these, that is the coolest car Ive seen in a while" That made me smile, got someone else hooked on the justy!
This one was strange, I went to a local parts store to pick up something for a different car. The parts guy asked I see you driving that yugo, I replied with something to the effect of dont offend the subaru justy. We laughed and he proceeded in telling me a very weird off the wall raunchy story about a girl he used to date that owned a yugo that looked like my justy. I honestly had know Idea what to say to the guy afterwards, lol.

Owning a Subaru Justy is a social experiment.
I honestly can't recall a tenth of the conversations I've had about my car. It's really something you need to get used to.
Just recently I pulled to a gas station to refuel. I had parked, fueled and payed while somebody else was fueling and they said something like "Just a top up? How far will it go on that?" to which I replied "I filled it. About 350km to 22 L." And they were awestruck.
Also last week I had parked to go get a coffee. My girlfriend had walked back to the car to bring it over and some guy was checking it out and said to his friend "haha look somebody put 4wd stickers on that little car".
