Hey everyone!
I'm a first time Justy owner from Inman, South Carolina, which is a small town in Spartanburg County! I just bought my first Justy and first ever Subaru a couple of days ago after having a deal in principle. It's a 1988 2WD Hatchback. I'll post some pics in this thread. I'm currently looking for someone who can go get the car since it's in NC and it doesn't run due to a dead battery. Even if it ran, I still couldn't drive it because I can't drive a stick, but I'm determined to learn because I just love this car! Can anyone help me get the car from Union Mills, NC (Eight miles above Rutherford) to Inman, SC?
The last few years have been very hard for me. My Dad passed away in February 2012 due to his bladder cancer returning. He was 80. We were always a close family and lived together. Dad could do almost everything for himself up until the last couple of weeks. Mom and I took care of him and were with him when he peacefully passed away in his bedroom. Not long after Dad's death, Mom's health went downhill. She went from walking at the time of his death... she could walk as good as anyone, but by the end of the year, she was no longer mobile. Mom and Dad had been married 61 years. I've spent the last few years taking care of her. I quit my job in April of last year at a mortuary because Mom's health got to the point I could no longer work and take care of her too. Mom's last living sibling, her brother, who she was closest to, passed away in May of last year in Mishawaka, Indiana. Mom's health continued getting worse, and I lost her a couple of weeks ago on the 3rd of January. I was with her talking to her as she peacefully passed away letting her know I would be ok and for her to go be with God, Dad, Jackie (her brother), and everyone else and that I would see her and Dad again someday. I've been trying to keep my mind occupied (hence getting this Justy), but I've had my moments where it has hit me very hard. I know her and Mom and her brother are reunited in Heaven, but I still miss her and Dad, along with her brother. It's been a rough few years. Now it's just me and the Three Amigos... our three small house dogs... Tink, Daisy and Bo. We've had Tink for almost 10 years now. She's a Jack Russell Terrier, but we've only had Daisy and Bo (Daisy is the Mom, Bo is the Son) since March of last year. Mom adored them all. I promised her we would be ok and I would take care of them. If it weren't for the little pups, it would be unbearable.
Sorry for the book guys. Thanks to everyone for letting me post here. I'm sure I'll have more questions as it goes along. First, I've got to find a way to get the Justy down here for a reasonable price. Here are the pics of the Justy...
