Hey everyon! I was hanging out at a car meet and lots of guys kept saying I could get disc brakes from 90-91 imprezas and the fit on my 88 justy. Has anyone attempted this?

What Generation of Justy do you have? Second? with vented discs already? If so, why? The brakes are more then adequate for street and moderate "track use" such as autocross, rally cross and well, rally. I've never had a brake fade issue... oh and they and balanced front to rear.
I have no idea of the piston area on the impreza brakes, but if it's different (likely) you are going to change the brake balance front to rear, which has the potential for making the car unpredictable when really getting on the brakes. Fine if you know what you are in for, or planning to run a bias adjuster.
If you have a first gen, you can swap to the second gen brakes no problem, with factory parts. (this is my case)
Also if you're just looking for better "feel" it's highly likely (unless you live in a jurisdiction that has annual inspections) that the brake hoses are original, therefore soft and mushy. Either new hoses, or upgrading to braided lines makes a HUGE improvement in how they feel.

USDM Imprezas start in 1993. The only performance advantage I can see to try Impreza brakes is if you can use the rear disc set-up, but the Justy rear suspension is different than all the other Subarus so I think you would have to do something custom. You would have to use Impreza fronts to match and I think the smallest rim you could use would be 14". In fact, I think Imps didn't come with rear discs until later, and I believe the front calipers for those years require a 15" rim, so you're talking super custom. I think it would brake annoyingly quickly, and if there was any brake drag it would slow the car down a lot and kill the mpgs.

Europe got Impreza since 1992 as I look at online part shop... But that brake rotor is for 5 "bolts" I think it has nuts. This won't fit Justy I think...

Well then you are in luck... as the 2 gen stuff bolts right up! pretty sure you would need a 13" wheel to clear it - if you don't already - but you can bolt on the vented, oh so slightly larger stuff from the 89+.
While you are at it. .. you can also upgrade to the larger axles, but that's a bit more work. You'll need bearings and a support for the axle extension.

Also make sure the Gen 2 rotors and calipers are from a car with factory 13's. The Gen 2 12's still had smaller brakes
