So, my little machine runs like a dream but for some reason it always seems to heat up. There are no leaks anywhere and we did over the head a while ago. I assure you it was done properly. She runs properly on the flats but for some reason any little extraneous uphill climb and the problem will arise. When I get home I can hear the bubbles in the water reservoir when I switch of the engine. When she cools downs and I return all the water in the water reservoirs is sucked up my the radiator. we replaced a couple of the major hoses just in case and we bled the system a few times. The is only one water jacket that was leaking a while ago but it stopped on its own. The problem has been plaguing me for a while and I need to get it under control. I am returning to school and needs her to be in excellent reliable condition. UPDATE: Headgasket was complete gone. Don't understand why since we did everything to spec.

I hate to say it but it sounds like a headgasket issue. Though to eliminate it your could pull the spark plugs out look in with a flashlight to see if you see water, maybe have someone spin it over that could help push anything out and make it more clear, unplug the ignition coil or move the plug wires so you dont have an accident. It could potentially be leaking from the water pump weep hole or even internally into the crankcase, make sure the oil level doesnt seem to be rising and the oil getting thinner.Thermostat would come to mind if you didnt have water going somewhere.

We took out the thermostat a while back, so it cannot be that problem. The oil level also isn't moving or thinning out. I would have to pull the plugs and check for any water and examine the water pump also.
We have pulled them before to examined the spark plugs before and they are clean as expected from a proper running engine.
Thank you for your input. This is really bothering me.

Does your rad fan come on? Next time the temp gauge is up, listen for it.
Taking the thermostat out is a terrible idea. Not only does it help the engine heat up, but it helps it cool down. Without a thermostat you push coolant through the rad faster than it can cool down at high rpm.

Yes the fan comes on. Actually it was redone years ago to be on all the time and we never corrected it. The car works fine without the thermostat. It was taken out a while back which another story.
The car runs fine on flat roads and the temp gauge hardly moves much but when the car cools down it sucks up all the water in the reservoir and even then the radiator isn't completely full.

When this happens do you ever see any steam or hear a steam or bubbling sound? Do you refill the radiator and the reservoir when this happens?
Im wondering about your radiator caps ability to hold correct pressure, they are pretty cheap may want to replace just to eliminate it.

Have you replaced the cap on the radiator, it wont be throwing away money just to do it.
Put the thermostat back in, the proper one. It really helps with the running of the engine.
Remove the radiator and inspect it, as it might be missing cooling fins.
