Hey, just a quick question. I am about to give my justy a go for a road trip. about 200 miles each way. The car tachs at like 3500rpms @ 60mph, or something like that.
What im wondering is, is that high rpms to hold for that long a big deal? like does the oil get too hot or anything I should be concerned about. The speed limit the whole way is gonna be 70mph.
Any help appreciated, Thanks.

I drove mine home about an hour fifteen minutes on I85 at about 70 - 75 mph, no tag even, it did great I was impressed. Especially when I started looking at the engine and found it was so worn out.

I am bout to go backpacking for a week, and cant decide if I should drive the justy all the way out there or rent a car. Its a couple hundred miles of highway driving but idk if the car can handle it. There is some serious grades on the highway to get there.

I would feel totally comfortable operating these little high revving buzz bombs all day long on the free way at 4200 rpm!! and have done more than that for some extended periods, easy-- peasy Just make sure you have a full oil sump and a rad full of coolant!

Cool, ya I just never owned anything with revs this high on the freeway, and didnt know if it could be bad to keep running it that long. I was unsure if the oil would just bake out or something. Thanks man

Service the engine and go on your merry way.
