Hey there,
With my WRX, I was able to tap into a plug in the block for my oil temperature gauge because I don't like the sensor that goes on the filter.
Any idea on where one might be on the EF12? I'm excited to do this after I do my block heater and vacuum gauge.

I went full out with an external filter cooler and thermostat in the oil system, so i had many choices. I don't think there are many location options on the Justy.

So no bung? Is there anything wrong with just replacing the drain plug with the sensor?

Can you tee off of the oil pressure switch bung on the backside of the motor, just above the oil fliter?
It's 1/8" BSPT

Terry, he's looking for oil temp...
Vagen, you can pick up oil plugs with sensors in them, or make your own by drilling and tapping.
Some folks say that you need the oil temp gauge in the pressure system near the filter to get a good reading... I've never understood that, the oil you could measure there just came out of the pan! It's not going to heat up that much more or less in the pump to filter route. If you're really concerned about "dangerous oil temps" you would need to collect the temp just as it leaves the bearings!!!!
So, oil drain plug is a pretty easy way to get done what you need to do.
The other option is to plan to install a cooler, and then put it somewhere inside that system...

Thanks! I'm thinking if I ever go the oil pressure route, I would tee it off there.
I love gauges.
I am trying to find a voltmeter/cabin temperature combo... I found one that goes in the cigarette lighter, but I don't like that.
Right now I have vacuum, oil temperature, and the voltmeter which I am debating returning.
