Okay, So I went out to my car this morning to drive it down to the coffee shop, and I turn the busted ignition, and my check engine light was flashing before I even started the engine my check engine light was flashing. TF? I start it, and it ran just like it always does, (like a piece of crap until it gets warmed up). I think to myself that usually a flashing check engine light means misfire, and I listened and there didn't sound like one. I also checked the plugs and wires, all good. What threw me off is that it flashes before I even start the engine. When I turn the key to the On position there is a pretty loud click as the check engine light turns on. If I pull the STOP ROOM fuse, *one on the top on the left* there is no click and no check engine light, but the engine won't idle anymore. It'll still run, but won't idle. Help!

a flashing CEL on an OBD2 car typically means a misfire. on an OBD0, it means there some kind of code or the 02 sensor connection is loose.
you dont have a knock sensor. its typically a peizeio sensor looking for odd resonance when a piston slams into the block due to a misfire.
