I have learned few useful tricks that hopefully can help someone. I do not know where else put them so I started this thread. If you know something too put it here... I think it is useless when you must check 20 threads to find some tip how to fix something small...
Tip No.1:
Removing steering wheel.
There are 3 plastic clips that hold the horn button cover. It can be removed just with hands, but I have removing it because the little bolt (hole in top of photo) shakes out so I need to use flat screwdriver. And I need to adjust position of steering wheel too...
There is 17mm nut that is easy to remove with standard torque wrench... For some reason steering don't lock, but I hold the wheel with one hand and push wrench with other one...
Torque for that nut is:
49-59 Nm
or 5.0 - 6.0 kg-m
or 36-43 ft-lb
Don't put horn button cover back now! First do a test drive (if you need horn it is still working) to be sure your steering wheel is in right position, and check torque on nut to be sure you done a good job and than put the cover back.
Tip No.2:
Cigarette lighter look renovation. Can be apllicated anywhere, not just on cigarette lighter...
After all the years the white paint likes to fall of the cigarette image... This is comparing photo with one I have done some time ago.
I have founded cheap DIY technique:
All you need is:
Some paint (White, blue, yellow, red... any color) I prefer Acrylic paint...
Grease remover.
Small brush or piece of some twine.
Needle
Some blade.
Some polish sauce.
Scratch out all old paint out of slot with needle.
Clean it with grease remover.
Fill the slot with paint. Don't worry if some paint is around the slot...
Wait few hours or a day to let paint dry.
Use blade to scratch of all paint around the slot and polish it for better look.
I have used this technique to make SUBARU sing, on air filter case, red.
You can see it doesn't look good because I have used oil paint here...
