I just bought a new battery my last one was 8 years old so I figured it was the culprit.
Right when I installed the battery the idle problem was sold I fired it up turn the lights and heater on and the idle was nice and low.
Then next day it was just like I had the old battery back in it.
I'm guessing the altenator or regulator anyone had this problem with their soobie?
Thanks a lot gang

The idle is supposed to increase with lights/heater/rear defrost on.

if it goes up way more than you want theres an adjustment screw on the car that will raise/lower that speed. Note, most cars do this. some do it so slightly that you dont really notice.
